Hello again all!
As always I hope this letter finds each of you happy, well, and loving life! I hope each of you enjoyed conference as much as I did. What a blessing it is that we get to be taught by the Lord's prophet and the leaders of His Church. Conference was definitely a spiritual high for me this week and I feel that my motivation for the work has been bolstered and magnified. I can't wait to put the new gospel insights and lessons gained this weekend to use in my work!
The weather here is absolutely beautiful (for the time being). Everyone tells me that this time of year is what makes the long hot summer worth it. Unfortunately the gorgeous weather won't last long. The temperature is consistently dropping a few degrees every single day... But for now things are great! I've definitely enjoyed being on a bike. I can't say how much I'll be loving it in a couple weeks or less, but we won't think about that now... The transition from having the luxury of a car to being a bike missionary has not come without it's challenges, but none too serious. We are looking forward to having more interaction with the members though, and we are trying to come up with new ways to get them involved in the missionary effort.
The work in my newly revised area has been slow this week. A lot of tracting has yielded more and more potential investigators, but we have yet to turn any of our ever growing list of potentials into progressing investigators. We have a packed schedule of appointments this week however, so I am quite optimistic. We finally have an appointment set with Margaret and we are very excited. She has nearly finished the Book of Mormon and is eagerly awaiting her copies of the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. She doesn't know it yet but they'll be coming in the form of a new triple combination that Elder Clayton and I have orderd for her as a gift. We have also been prayerfully reviewing the list of former investigators and have met with a few that we feel hold some promise. We also have appointements with them this week.
Please forgive the brevity of the letter this week, I hope to have much more to report in the letters to come. As always I appreciate the love and support from each of you. Thank you for your continued prayers, and I pray for each of you often as well. I hope you each have a wonderful week as you strive to be examples of the believers in all you say and do. May the Lord continue to bless each of you in your righteous efforts. I love you all. Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!
Love,
Elder Michael P. Lyman
