April 11,2011

Hello again everyone!

My how the time does fly! Spring is galloping on by and summer is knocking on the door. It hasn't hit 100 yet here in Rockwall, but it's been in the mid to high 90s. My poor companion Elder Layton complains every time we go out because of the sticky Texas heat. I keep telling him to enjoy the weather before it skyrockets. Buckle up y'all...
Last week was another busy one. Not as busy as the week before, but I still had to keep on my toes. On Monday, we were going to go as a district and ride a bike trail, but a severe thunderstorm hit Sunday night. We ended up playing games in the gym at our building as usual, but it was still a lot of fun. Afterward I went to get a haircut. I realized after getting home, that my hair was horribly hacked... Rather than go back to the place that did the damage, I called a sister in the ward who gladly agreed to fix it for me, on Thursday... Massive amounts of gel helped conceal the carnage that was my head until then. I guess every missionary has to have a bad haircut at least once....
Miles' baptism is this Saturday, and I haven't gotten any calls from higher-ups, nor have I been struck by any massive objects... Just a few more days to go and I will have successfully witnessed one of my baptisms. Yaygo! We had Miles' baptismal interview on Saturday. Wrapping up a very very long day. In total we drove 140 miles Saturday. It was a crazy time.
Our progressing investigators are dwindling, but we are working very very hard to find more people to teach. I'm very optimistic about the future. I think we have some great potential investigators in the mix. Stay tuned!
I don't have a whole lot to report this week, aside from Miles. We are all very excited for this weekend. I love you all very much and I can't wait to hear more from you all. Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!

Love,
