Well this week wasn't as productive as I'd hoped it would be. A lot of hard work didn't turn out a whole lot of measurable results yet. I know that blessings will always come from diligent obedience and effort, so I'm not worried. This week has been a test of faith though. I ended the week with a fast for my current investigators and that we'd be able to find some new ones who are prepared. My prayer was answered that day. We visited a less-active family and they have an 11 year old son named Brandon who was born extremely premature. He's got the most kind spirit I have ever seen in anyone. He only wants to do what is right 100% of the time. He can't even comprehend why someone would to something that they know is wrong. He's such an awesome kid.
We also found a 21 year old guy named Blake. Blake was busy when we knocked on his door, but was really intrigued by what we said about having a prophet on the earth today. We came back and got to teach the first lesson with a member present. It went really well and he seems pretty excited to read the Book of Mormon to find out if it's true.
There wasn't a whole lot going on the days preceding, but the end of the week was just what I needed. The Lord truly directs this work and He really does answer prayers. Sometimes we just need to do a little more work to get to a point that we can see what he's trying to show us.
I love you all very much and I am so grateful for your support and love. I pray for your safety and individual success continually. Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!
Love,
Elder Michael P. Lyman
