Happy Valentines Day!
Honestly, today is just another day for missionaries(For me anyway. I can only speak for myself.). I enjoyed the letters from home and from Ben in the MTC today. I'm very thankful for everyone's continued prayers and support. I thought it was cool that Ben got to hear from Elder Gavarett, because he spoke in the McKinney Stake Conference just before I left. That was Elder Gaverett's first assignment, and one of his first in English. I'm sure Ben really enjoyed hearing him speak, I know I did. He has a very unique way of teaching gospel principles. It's really cool. I also thought it was pretty funny that for Mom and Dad's "missionary survival training" they taught about healthy breakfasts and made hard boiled eggs with pancakes. That's exactly what Elder Low and I had for breakfast today!
This week was very full and Elder Low and I worked our butts off(literally. Our biking is whipping us into shape fast.)! We had the opportunity to have Elder Ringwood of the Seventy come to our mission last week. He and his wife toured the mission and spoke in all the zone conferences. He also spoke at a special investigator and recent convert fireside which was phenomenal. He is a really great speaker and delivered very strong testimony of the Savior.
We were able to find a few new people to teach this week. With zone conference and the fireside, our first part of the week was slow, but we definitely picked it up with the latter end. While numbers don't make a missionary, I'm very happy about the way our week looks on paper as I make my report today. We got to teach quite a few lessons this week, and we set a baptismal date with Aaron(the 10 year old boy) for March 5th. We're very excited for him and he's very excited as well. I will actually get to see one of my baptisms for once! We feel like we're very close to setting a couple more dates and I'll keep you all updated as those come to pass.
Sunday was especially busy for us. We taught 3 lessons and dropped by some less active members. This was quite a feat considering we had to leap frog rides from place to place after each appointment! It was a really fun day though. I love teaching and having the opportunity to feel the spirit so strongly while I do. I learn so much in each lesson we teach, I'm never disappointed.
I don't think I'm leaving anything out. Hopefully I'm not mistaken! Anyway, I love you all very much and I hope you all have a fantastic Valentine's Day! Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!
