Hey Y'all,
This week went by so fast! Much of the week was spent in meetings and getting Elder Mitchell prepared to fly out in a couple days. We got him mostly packed and his bike shipped home, which means we've been on foot the rest of the time. The weather is getting pretty warm and humid! The members here are always quick to stop and offer us rides, drinks and free ice cream whenever they happen upon us working the streets. We've been getting more and more referrals from members, which is really exciting. We have a few that my new companion and I will be contacting this week.
My new (and last) companion's name is Elder Whiting. He's been out for about 6 months. I'll be the district leader here in Allen for my last transfer. I'll be picking him up at transfer meeting tomorrow morning.
We had a big meeting with all the Missionaries in the northern part of the mission last week. Elder Park, Elder Hart, and I sang a trio of Nearer My God To Thee, that I think turned out really good! It was a ton of fun and everyone said it sounded great.
We met with Ever again this week and taught him about the Plan of Salvation. He seemed to really make some connections and expressed that he felt like the plan that was being presented was true. He didn't come to church, but we will be meeting with him again this week and hopefully will be able to get through whatever his concerns may be.
Nicole says she's ready to make the big move! She feels more and more confident about being baptized all the time. As soon as she tells her parent's we're going to set a date and get it done as quickly as possible.
That's all I've got to report for now, but I love y'all and I look forward to hearing from you again soon! Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!
Elder Michael P. Lyman
