Hey everyone!
I hope you all had a fantastic Mother's day! I'm so thankful for all the wonderful mothers in my life. It was so awesome to get to see and talk to those of y'all who were at mom and dad's yesterday.
Not a ton of time today unfortunately, and not all that much to report. Everyone who talked to me yesterday will probably be bored to tears with anything I have to say since you heard it all yesterday! We had a pretty good week this week. The weather has been a little on the wet side, with a fairly good sized storm on Friday. We were out on our bikes during the storm and got about as wet as wet can be. It's been a while since I've been caught outdoors in the rain!
Saturday night we finally got to do some "creative proselyting" that we've been planning for a while now. We played ultimate frisbee in the park! We got a few companionships together and invited all the youth we could think. We asked the youth to invite their friends to come play with us and had a pretty good turnout. We encouraged everyone to invite their friends to mutual and church. We are hoping to get a similar game/sports night every week.
The members here are starting to get pretty excited about missionary work. We have a quite a few families that we are working pretty closely with, who will be inviting their friends to come closer to Christ in various ways. Some should result in fairly immediate opportunities for us to teach, and others will be just another step in their preparation to receive the word of God. We should always seek ways to develop more love for those around us, and to lovingly invite them to experience the peace, joy, and happiness that comes from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I love you all very very much and I will update you again next week! Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!
Much Love,
Elder Michael P. Lyman
