1-16-12

Hello again everyone,

What a hectic week this has been! It has been quite a rollercoaster.
Our teaching pool has been pretty stirred up as of late. A few of our investigators have either decided not to continue taking the lessons, or we've had to be the ones to discontinue. The work moves forward and we have a few investigators that we are really excited about. Rosie, one of our baptismal dates, had her baptismal interview this past week. She will need a second interview, but after the first, she dropped off the map. We haven't been able to get in touch with her and she didn't show up to church on Sunday. We are really praying hard for her because she's so close to baptism it would be heartbreaking to lose her. While we had 2 more baptisms scheduled this month, we are going to have to reschedule both of them.
We had a baptism Saturday. We completed a part-member family. The mother of the family was the only member and we were able to baptize the father and the 3 children. I had the privelege of performing one of the confirmations-- my first.
We have recieved a few referrals that have allowed us to refrain from tracting. We also have a couple new part-member families we will begin working with soon. It's always sad to lose investigators that you grow to love so much, but it's exciting to see new people progress as the work moves forward. Elder Petty and I are hoping to set a few more dates very soon so hopefully that goes well. This week holds a lot of promise!
I love you all very much and I pray for your safety and success daily. Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!

Love,

Elder Michael P. Lyman
