9-26-11

Hey everyone!

 

     I hope you all had a fantastic week! Mine was great! Elder Guerrero and I got a lot accomplished and we found several new investigators that I'm very very excited about.

     Sandra and her boyfriend Phillip are a couple that we tracted out. Well actually we tracted out Sandra, and upon our return, we met Phillip. Sandra had been taught a couple years back when she was living in Austin. When she moved here to Athens, the missionaries lost contact with her. She has been very enthusiastic about getting back on track and feeling the peace and joy she experienced with her first set of missionaries. We had an amazing lesson with them Sunday night.

     Also present in the lesson with Sandra and Phillip was another couple. They are Maria and her husband Julio. Maria and Sandra were the most interested in the lesson, but the men were asking and answering questions as well. They all want to keep taking the lessons together and everyone comitted to read the Book of Mormon and to pray to know if it was true. All said that it would be important for them to be baptized by the proper authority if they knew that God had restored His church and Priesthood to the earth.

     I'm becoming very close to this ward very quickly. The leadership seems to really love and trust Elder Guerrero and Me, and we are working very closely with them in everything we do.
     My time, as always is hindered by the unreliable connection here at the library. I love you all and I can't wait to hear more from each of you. Until next time; Be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!
