Hello all,
This week sped by us pretty hastily. Unfortunately, there isn't a ton of progress with our investigators to report this week. We are working on sifting through our teaching pool, and searching for more prepared souls to teach and baptize.
On Friday night, Elder Guerrero and I invited Jeremy to be baptized after a fantastic lesson on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We suggested a date that we had prayed about beforehand and he expressed that he'd like to take a couple days to read more of the Book of Mormon and to pray about it. He asked if he could have until Wednesday to make his decision. Elder Guerrero and I fasted on Saturday, and we asked our district to join us in fasting and prayer on Jeremy's behalf. Jeremy came to church yesterday as usual and something seemed different about him. He participated in gospel principles class, and seems to really understand what's being taught. We are continuing to pray hard for him so that he can make the right decision. It would be so incredible to see their family completed. The temple has been a major focus(not by our doing) in nearly every lesson, both at church and in the home, that we've had with him.
This week promises to be very busy! We'll be doing a lot of driving to and from long meetings, and I have a feeling I'll be itching to get back on the streets and in peoples homes to do some real missionary work.
It's great to hear all about how things are going with all of you. I love you very much and I can't wait to hear more in the e-mails and letters to come! Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!
Love,
Elder Michael P. Lyman
