Hey everyone,
It was great to hear from all of you! It sounds like everyone has had a very nice time together.
The days and weeks continue to fly by. The weather today is absolutely gorgeous here in Athens, TX. When we left the house it was about 77 degrees outside. The weather can stay like this as long as it wants as far as I'm concerned. I love it! Elder Guerrero and I are considering taking advantage of the fortunate change in temperature getting on our bikes. A change of pace and some extra miles are both very welcome phenomena around these parts.
The work is moving along as usual. We had to drop both of our baptismal dates this week, which was discouraging. Hopefully they'll be able to progress in the future. It's tough seeing people who are unwilling to act and take control of their lives to change for the better.
On a happier note, there were a few part member families who came to church yesterday. In both cases, the non-member Husband wants to take the lessons(Both English Speaking, thank heaven!). We have appointments set with them this week and I'm pretty excited to hopefully help them complete their families and eventually get to the temple.
Elder Guerrero and I(mostly just Elder Guerrero) taught a lesson last night to a large family we were referred to. I may have made reference to them last week, but I don't remember. There were about 8 or 9 people sitting in on the lesson and actively participating. Although it was great to get a slew of new investigators at once, it was sort of a frustrating experience for me. I was able to keep up with where we were in the lesson based on the scattered words I could pick up, but as far as teaching went, I just took up space. I guess I have some serious motivation to find some English speaking investigators. I certainly didn't come here to spectate.
I'm sorry there isn't more to report this time. I hope you all have a happy and safe week. I love you all! Until next time; be good, stay safe, and keep the faith!
